🧠 The RABBIT HOLE ROOM (Adults)

For the people with 6,000 tabs open, 47 unanswered questions, and a brain that refuses to stay on one topic.

The Rabbit Hole Room is a low-pressure online deep-dive space for neurodivergent adults who somehow start researching one thing and end up three hours later emotionally invested in abandoned underground train stations, medieval medical practices, conspiracy theories about pigeons, or the history of shopping centres.

This is not therapy. This is not forced socialising. This is not a networking event where everyone awkwardly introduces themselves.

This is:

  • niche interests
  • hyperfocus spirals
  • random deep dives
  • chaotic curiosity
  • info dumping
  • "wait… listen to THIS"
  • parallel existing
  • learning for the dopamine, not productivity

Each session explores a completely different topic.

One month it might be:

  • strange historical events
  • trains and transport systems
  • internet rabbit holes
  • abandoned places
  • psychology and behaviour
  • weird laws
  • nostalgia
  • cult documentaries
  • random facts nobody asked for but somehow become fascinating

…and the next month it could be something completely different.

Sessions will run monthly or twice monthly depending on demand, with each session lasting around an hour (in theory anyway).

You are free to:

  • join late
  • leave early
  • listen quietly
  • type in chat
  • info dump
  • sit with your camera off
  • disappear halfway through because your brain suddenly decided it needed toast

All participation styles are valid.

There is no pressure to speak, socialise perfectly, or explain yourself.

To help keep things calm, manageable, and nervous-system friendly, sessions are limited to 40 spaces.

What Happens Inside The Rabbit Hole Room?

The Rabbit Hole Room is built around live online hyperfocus and interest-based sessions for neurodivergent adults.

Every session centres around a completely different topic, rabbit hole, obsession, theory, niche interest, strange fact, or deep dive.

Some sessions may explore:

  • unusual history
  • transport systems and infrastructure
  • internet mysteries
  • abandoned places
  • strange psychology
  • cult documentaries
  • nostalgia and forgotten media
  • weird laws and social rules
  • random niche facts
  • hyperfixations submitted by the community
  • conspiracy theories and urban legends
  • strange online rabbit holes
  • bizarre historical events
  • deep dives into random topics nobody expected to become fascinating

The sessions are intentionally relaxed and low pressure.

You are free to:

  • listen quietly
  • info dump
  • type in chat
  • disappear for ten minutes and come back
  • sit with your camera off
  • go down side tangents together
  • contribute as much or as little as you want

There is no expectation to socialise perfectly or participate in a certain way.

The goal is not productivity. The goal is curiosity, connection, and collective deep-diving with people whose brains work similarly to yours.

While The Rabbit Hole Room focuses specifically on online hyperfocus and deep-dive sessions, we are always looking to expand Hyperfocus Academy in the future and may introduce different types of sessions as the community grows.

All sessions will run on Sunday evenings at 8pm.

The first Rabbit Hole Room session launches on 31st May.

We believe this is a fantastic low-cost way to access a unique neurodivergent community space without expensive memberships or subscriptions.

The small session fee helps cover:

  • running costs
  • platform costs
  • future project development
  • themed resources and materials prepared prior to sessions
  • keeping The Rabbit Hole Room sustainable long term

Our aim is to keep sessions as affordable and accessible as possible while still allowing the project to grow.

Who Is It For?

The Rabbit Hole Room is for neurodivergent adults who want softer, calmer, more understanding spaces.

This includes:

  • autistic adults
  • ADHD adults
  • PDA adults
  • sensory-sensitive adults
  • anxious or socially overwhelmed adults
  • adults exploring whether they may be neurodivergent
  • parents and carers of neurodivergent children
  • adults who struggle with traditional social spaces

You do not need:

  • a diagnosis
  • to turn your camera on
  • to speak
  • to explain yourself
  • to be good at socialising

All participation styles are valid.

FAQ

Do I need a diagnosis?

No. You do not need a formal diagnosis to join The Rabbit Hole Room.

Do I have to turn my camera on?

Absolutely not. Cameras are always optional.

What if I don’t want to talk?

That is completely okay. Many people join simply to listen, craft quietly, or exist alongside others.

Is this therapy or coaching?

No. The Rabbit Hole Room is a community and creative space, not a therapy or clinical service.

Can I join if I’m shy or socially anxious?

Yes. The Rabbit Hole Room was intentionally designed to feel low-pressure and welcoming.

Are sessions online or in person?

The Rabbit Hole Room is an online-only space.

The NeuroNest Hub already runs in-person adult sessions locally, so The Rabbit Hole Room was created to allow neurodivergent adults from anywhere to join in, connect, and deep dive together online.

What sort of things will we do?

Sessions may include:

  • themed deep dives
  • random niche topics
  • strange history and forgotten events
  • internet rabbit holes
  • transport systems and infrastructure
  • psychology and human behaviour
  • cult documentaries and strange media
  • conspiracy theories and urban legends
  • hyperfocus sharing
  • themed discussions
  • info dumping
  • calm low-pressure conversation
  • collective deep-diving into fascinating topics

Every session will be different.

Can I come and just watch?

Yes. You are welcome to participate as much or as little as feels comfortable.

What makes this different from just watching YouTube videos for free?

Honestly? You absolutely can deep dive alone on YouTube at 2am with 37 tabs open — most of us already do.

The difference is the experience.

The Rabbit Hole Room is about:

  • real-time discussion
  • shared curiosity
  • collective hyperfocus
  • hearing other people’s theories, thoughts, and weird facts
  • following unexpected tangents together
  • feeling understood by people whose brains work similarly to yours

It is less like watching a lecture and more like:

"a group of neurodivergent people collectively disappearing down the same rabbit hole together."

You might join for the topic and stay because somebody in chat casually drops the most fascinating fact you’ve heard in weeks.

Some sessions may include:

  • visual resources
  • curated links
  • discussion prompts
  • live reactions
  • themed slides
  • polls
  • side tangents
  • interactive deep dives

And unlike social media or comment sections, the environment is intentionally designed to feel:

  • calmer
  • lower pressure
  • safer
  • less performative
  • less argumentative
  • more community focused

You are not paying for information. You are paying for the space, the experience, the curation, and the community around it.
