Public outings can be one of the most challenging parts of daily life for neurodivergent children, teens, and adults.
Busy environments, unpredictable changes, sensory overload, and social expectations can quickly overwhelm a nervous system — turning what looks like a “simple trip out” into a stressful experience for everyone involved.
The Public Outings Support Kit has been created to help make outings feel safer, calmer, and more manageable, by focusing on regulation, predictability, and communication rather than behaviour or compliance.
